Damien Salazar | Real Estate Owner, Retreat-Center Entrepreneur and Recording Artist

Damien Salazar—professionally known as recording artist Damien Gunn—is a Kansas City-area entrepreneur, real-estate owner, songwriter, producer, bassist and performer.
Damien and his wife and business partner, Tina Jackson, are the owners of Unicorn Apartments, a 152-unit multifamily community in Ferrelview, Missouri. They have owned the property through Round 11 LLC since 2012, overseeing its operations, financial strategy, capital improvements and long-term development.
Damien and Tina also own and operate Art Nest Retreat Center, a 15,000-square-foot creative destination designed for quilters, scrapbookers, artists, writers and specialty groups. Building upon the success of Art Nest, they expanded their hospitality business with The Velvet Retreat Center in Gower, Missouri.
In music, Damien performs professionally as Damien Gunn. He is the founder, lead singer, bassist, songwriter and producer of the Damien Gunn Band, a Kansas City country-rock act performing original music and high-energy live shows. Since 2011, the band has released four albums and more than 40 recorded songs.
Damien is also the founder of Operation: Fill the Boot, a charitable initiative that has raised more than $100,000 for veterans, active military personnel, first responders and children in need.
